NHS Hillingdon

Step 1: The initial Action Plan has been drafted following a meeting between N.A.P.P. and the Patient and Public Engagement Steering Group at NHS Hillingdon.

Step 2: The mapping exercise is now complete and showed a low current level of patient participation.

Step 3: An initial workshop with practice managers took place in February 2009.  NHS Hillingdon is keen to work closely with the Local Involvement Network (LINk) in this project and a further workshop will be taking place to incorporate their views, along with those of other stakeholders.

Step 4: The action plan will focus on supporting a handful of practices to introduce PPGs simultaneously.  An event will be organised in October 2009 that will serve as introduction for the new PPG members and their first meeting with the practices.

Step 5: The participating practices have been provided with the materials developed as part of the Growing Patient Participation campaign.
