North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus

Step 1: The Care Trust Plus (CTP)is developing a membership scheme for its four commissioning groups and sees PPGs as part of its wider community engagement strategy.  The initial set-up meeting stressed the importance of addressing some of the more pressing public health challenges and explained that the CTP is developing a career pathway model for its lay representatives.

Step 2: The majority of the 33 practices have a Patient Participation Group.

Step 3: The existing groups already come together in regular networking meetings and the CTP is exploring how these can work in partnership with the Local Involvement Network.  Future plans may include a local directory of PPGs that summarises their existing activities.  NAPP plans to attend the next networking meeting in September/October.
