Oxfordshire PCT

Step 1: The initial set-up meeting in October 2008 was extremely well attended.  It stressed the importance of local leadership and of sharing a sound evidence base for Patient Participation Groups.

Step 2: Following consultations with the Local Medical Committee and the practice managers, the mapping survey was revised and improved and has now been completed.

Step 3: The next steps will be based on the survey findings.  Provisional priorities are to develop more, and better, PPGs with a greater influence over commissioning.  

Step 4: The meeting to discuss next steps will take place in July 2009 and should generate an Action Plan.

Step 5: The campaign resources have been shared with the PCT.
